After World Tour stops in Tobago, France, the United States and Norway, the DØDS Diving League returns to Arendal for the biggest and most important competition of the season.
On Saturday, August 22nd, the world’s leading døds divers will compete for the 2026 world titles in front of thousands of spectators in Arendal harbour, as well as an international television and digital audience.
World Titles on the Line
The DØDS Diving World Championship is the ultimate showdown of the season, bringing together the sport’s leading international and Norwegian athletes for one final competition.
The line-up includes 2026 World Tour champion Reagan Popoff of the United States, France’s Côme Girardot and Switzerland’s Cerin Althaus; they will be joined by leading Norwegian athletes including Truls Torp, Asbjørg Nesje, Tore Våge and Herman T. Solstad, and many others.
With separate men’s and women’s competitions, Arendal will decide who earns the sport’s most prestigious titles and becomes a DØDS Diving World Champion.
A Record-Breaking International Season
The championship concludes a landmark international season for the DØDS Diving League, with World Tour events held in Charlotteville, Tobago; Aquafolies, France; Senderland, New Hampshire, United States; and Fredrikstad, Norway.
The 2026 DØDS Diving League season has generated over 200 million digital views so far while building a global community of more than 550,000 followers.
Television distribution has also expanded significantly, with events shown through NRK, DAZN and ESPN, bringing døds diving to audiences across Norway and international markets.

Arendal Becomes the Centre of the Døds Diving World
The championship will take place in the heart of Arendal harbour, with the diving tower forming the centrepiece of the competition arena.
The waterfront setting will give spectators the opportunity to experience the power, technique and creativity of døds diving at close range, while creating a spectacular backdrop for the international television production.
“A World Championship should feel big,” Rigault added. “Our goal is to create an arena, a broadcast and a spectator experience that matches the standard of the world’s leading international action-sports events.”
