The Døds Diving League (DDL), the global governing body for the sport of Døds freestyle diving, has announced today the five destinations that will shape the official World Tour in 2026. This season, the calendar will include four qualifiers in Tobago, France, the USA and the homeland of the sport, Norway, plus a World Final, also on Norwegian soil.

In 2026, the most daring Døds divers in the global scene will show off all their skills to compete for crucial World Tour points in the following extraordinary locations:

  • Charlotteville, Tobago (May 23rd)

  • Aquafolies, France (June 20th)

  • Senderland, New Hampshire, USA (July 4th)

  • Fredrikstad, Norway (August 8th)

  • Arendal, Norway (August 22nd)

Following the great success of the 2025 season, up to four locations return to the tour, while the calendar has added a new host: the amazing Aquafolies waterpark in Bourg-en-Bresse, near Lyon in France. Later in the year, the Arendal stop will again take centre stage as the most prestigious event of the circuit – the official Døds World Championship.

Each of the stops will feature 30 to 40 athletes competing in teams across four rounds, progressing from qualification to knockout stages (20, 10, and 5 athletes in the final). Men and women compete in the same category, except in the World Championship, where there are separate categories for males and females. Dives are performed from 33-43 feet (10-13 metres) platforms and judged on power, technical execution, style, landing, and overall impression.

Apart from the competition itself, each stop will feature a variety of activities, including particularly the Døds Academy courses — a unique opportunity for both locals and visitors to learn døds diving from some of the best athletes in the world.

“We are thrilled to announce the 5th official competitive season of the Døds Diving League”, said Paul Rigault, President of DDL. “The circuit keeps growing year after year, with new locations and a longer list of athletes every time. The progression of the sport is just unstoppable at this point!”.
