The best athletes in the Døds freestyle diving universe gathered at the picturesque fishing village of Charlotteville, in Tobago, for a historic season opener: the DØDS Diving League World Tour Tobago 2026, an event that welcomed thousands of attendees in a unique show of skills, bravery and vibrant local Carnival-esque colour.
Herman T. Solstad, from Norway, took the victory in the individual category, followed by Olav Eikenes in second place and Tore Våge in third place. In the teams category, Nordic Legends (featuring the same Herman T. Solstad and Simen ‘Fisk’ Mathisen) claimed the emblematic Ø trophies. All detailed results can be found on the official Live Heats page of the event.
The event was broadcast live on the official DØDS Diving League YouTube and Facebook channels, and it will be covered by ESPN in the United States and distributed to more than 60 countries worldwide.
Prior to the competition, legendary dødser Simen Fisk led three DØDS Academy courses, which brought together the next generation of divers from Tobago and prepared the local athletes for the tournament. The participants of the World Tour stop also enjoyed a series of iconic local activities, including a visit to the uniquely beautiful Black Rock in western Tobago and a celebrated local tradition - the goat race in Buccoo.
The global circuit will now head to Europe for its next event: the DDL World Tour Aquafolies 2026, which will take place at the La Plaine Tonique waterpark in Malafretaz, France on June 20th.
